Vehicle Description
2007 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible
Chevrolet has been pumping out Corvettes for 66 years, building
about 1.5 million of them since 1953. That makes the 'Vette one of
the most popular sports cars of all time. First- and
second-generation Corvettes were one of the first true collectible
cars of the modern era, and collecting Corvettes remains a global
phenomenon. More than just another two-seat sports car, the Vette
is an American icon. There's a good reason it's often referred to
as America's sports car.
Like most Corvettes, this convertible strikes a perfect balance
between bone shaking firm and Lexus soft, while providing a level
of grip that would be right at home under a purpose-built track
car. Slide under the svelte drop-top and you'll find a hydroformed
chassis that unites a well-maintained suspension with optional
Magnetic Selective Ride Control.
Exterior
Much like an SR-71 Blackbird, this Black painted, Black convertible
gives the driver a stealthy feel, but a disclaimer: you cannot
evade radar with this combination! All beautifully preserved and
correct for the year body equipped with chrome aluminum wheels that
allow the head turners to view the shining 4-wheel disc brakes and
extra-large calipers as seen through the wheels. A side view
reveals just how raked the windshield on this car is, and this
helps maintain its low profile. To make it more visible, turn on
the switch for the xenon headlights, this will make you
obvious.
Interior
Ebony, perforated leather, 6-way power sports bucket seats, and
ebony finishes cover the interior. Seen on the technologically
peppered dash is a heads-up digital display, and driver information
center. If this is not enough flip on the Navigation and it will
give you more electronic eye candy. For your listening pleasure
press the power button to the AM/FM/6CD/MP3 radio data system, and
envelope yourself in a concert quality sound bubble. A dual zone
AC/Heating unit can keep you and your passenger comfortable no
matter what the weather. And if it rains, and you have the top
down, just push the button and the top will quickly raise to the
occasion and avoid any hair disasters.
Drivetrain
A 6.2 Liter LS2 Mill can be seen when lifting the beautifully
curved molded hood forward. Topping out at 400hp, you'll be able to
make use of all 6 speeds in your automatic transmission, (steering
wheel paddle controlled) while enjoying the benefits of a traction
control system, and magnetic selective ride control. Put the option
installed sports ride suspension through its paces. It does not get
any better than this!
Undercarriage
A rear axle ratio of 2.56 takes you up to speed with neck snapping
effects. Combine this with a limited slip differential, and you can
smoke both tires equally. All totally rust free, and a fine use of
lightweight materials, all working together to provide maximum
speed and power as well as a smile on your face...all be it an evil
one dressed in black.
6,748 Consigner stated miles on this well-preserved example of
American Muscle, and handling. A virtually new car, all dressed up
and right now, nowhere to go. Meet this stealthy Vette, give it a
ride, and we are sure you will have a look of satisfaction when you
are done.
