Now featured in our Denver showroom is this very original and well
kept 1956 Chevrolet Delray that is one of the few remaining
survivors left! The current owner of this car purchased it from the
second owner back in 1979 who had purchased from the original owner
only 6 months prior but had to sell it for his wedding. Once
purchased in 1979 the car was in great shape but was then taken off
the frame where any N.O.S. parts he could get a hold of were
replaced and was brought to the paint shop where it was repainted
back to the original color combination and looked much like it did
when it rolled out right off the showroom floor. After the car was
finished in the early 80's, it was shown at a few shows where it
took 3 1st place trophies and one 2nd place trophy; but after only
a couple years the car was put away in storage and has only been
driven a couple thousand miles since! The 51,000 miles on the
odometer are actual on the car and is one of the few tri-five
Chevrolet's that have not been resto-modded or dramatically altered
over the years. The interior has been kept original with only the
need to change out the carpet and still is in excellent shape! The
original 265 cubic inch V8 and 3-speed manual are still there and
keep this car running down the road smoothly. An old set of bias
ply tires are still wrapped around the original wheels and really
adds to the original look of the car. This 1956 Delray is a great
car for someone who appreciates the originality of this American
classic and will preserve it in its current condition. This vehicle
is located in our Denver showroom. You can view this 1956 Chevrolet
