Vehicle Description
This custom 1957 Chevy 3100 big-window pickup has recently gone
through a full frame-off restoration. The frame was completely
stripped to bare and a Mustang II front suspension was installed.
It's equipped with power rack & pinion steering and 4-wheel power
disc brakes. The rear has a triangulated 4-link with coilover
suspension. This 6.0-liter LS engine has been upgraded with a SOMP
cam for an aggressive sound, and a FiTech fuel injection kit. The
engine has also been outfitted with a billet front serpentine
assembly. A Boyd welding fuel tank with an in-tank fuel pump rests
in the rear of the frame. The exhaust is a full mandrel-bent
polished stainless system that runs all the way out the back. The
4L60E automatic transmission is controlled through the FiTech
computer and also has a Hughes stall converter installed. The truck
rides on custom-ordered 20" Salt-Flats-style billet wheels. The
body of the truck has had countless hours of bodywork. All of the
panels where test fit, aligned, and then had all the gaps fixed to
give a show-car-style finish. The paint was applied with a base
coat/clear coat finish and then polished, and custom one-off bed
wood has been installed. The full custom interior has been updated
with Classic Instrument gauges, Vintage Air and German square-weave
carpet.
