Vehicle Description
In 1956 3,467 Corvettes were produced. This very early 1956, Serial
#011, rolled off the assembly line on January 13, 1956. It was
produced with every option available in 1956, including the
first-year options like a power top, power windows, auxiliary
hardtop, dual 4-barrel carburetors and dual-point distributors. A
complete list of options includes heater, AM signal-seeking radio,
parking brake alarm, courtesy lights, windshield washers, whitewall
tires, two-tone paint and a special high-lift camshaft. This
Corvette is powered by a 265/225hp engine backed by a 3-speed
manual transmission, and is equipped with a 3.27:1 gear ratio. This
'56 had a two-year restoration to NCRS specifications and was ready
for judging in November 2016 at the Rocky MTN NCRS Chapter Meet,
where it earned its first Top Flight Award with a score of 99. Two
subsequent NCRS Top Flight Awards were earned at the April 2017
Regional Meet in Laughlin, NV, where it achieved a score of 98.4,
and July 2018 National Meet in Las Vegas, NV, where it scored 98.7.
An NCRS Performance Verification (PV) was achieved in October 2017
at the Regional Meet in Frisco, TX. The coveted NCRS Duntov Award
was achieved at the July 2018 National Convention in Las Vegas, NV.
Included with this Corvette are all of the awards, ribbons and
judging sheets, along with all of the restoration invoices and a
partial ownership list. Additionally, Vette Magazine featured this
car in the November 2018 issue, and multiple copies are included,
along with a reproduction Window Sticker, cover, hardtop stand and
hardtop cover.
