Vehicle Description
This 1970 Judge Ram Air III Convertible is one of 168 original
Judge convertibles made in 1970. It still has its born-with
matching-numbers 400ci 8-cylinder engine, 4-speed manual
transmission and rear end. The car was restored by a GTO
restoration shop in the late 2000s, starting with a survivor car
and using only original and NOS parts. It was purchased by its
current owner in 2012, and underwent a complete cosmetic
restoration with new black paint, complete Legendary black interior
and a new black convertible top. The entire drivetrain was
meticulously gone through to ensure the car was able to run on the
Copperstate 1000 Rally and be shown at various shows around the
country. The car was awarded a top honor of the Jim Mattison Award
for best Pontiac at the 2013 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals in
Chicago. This GTO was built and maintained with an open checkbook,
and has been part of a private collection for the last six years.
This Judge was optioned with Safe-T-Trak, a tape stereo, heavy-duty
radiator, remote mirror, console, power disc brakes and rear floor
mats. The glass is date-code correct. This GTO was originally
Sierra Yellow with a black interior and a white top.
