Vehicle Description
This 1970 Dodge Challenger RT/SE 440 U-code includes a Build Sheet
and two Fender Tags. It was a Mopar Mini Nationals Gold Award
winner in the Pentastar Class, which is by invitation only. It's
powered by a non-matching-numbers date-code-correct 440ci V8 engine
mated to an automatic transmission. Finished in Plum Crazy Purple
with a white vinyl top and black leather interior, it underwent a
rotisserie restoration that was finished in 2017 with the use of
Dave Wise restoration manuals. A correct restoration using many of
the original parts and date-code-correct parts. It was painted with
factory-correct overspray over the primer undercarriage and the
exhaust manifolds. Even original bolt kits with correct head
markings were used. Original options include power steering and
front disc brakes, air conditioning, cruise control, rear defrost,
6-way seat, 3.55 performance axle package, 26" radiator, Rallye
gauges, floor console, and SE package with overhead console.
Date-code-correct parts include, master cylinder, power booster,
disc brake calipers, air conditioning heater blower motor,
radiator, fan, leaf springs, torsion bars, rear SE finish panel and
front windshield. The original lower and upper control arms and
sway bar, horns and rear defrost blower were restored and used. The
cowl and radiator support body numbers match the VIN.
