This 1965 Superformance MKIII Cobra re-creation, #1728, is finished
in its proper colors of Royal Blue with white stripes and a black
interior. It's powered by a Windsor-based 427ci engine coupled to a
Tremec 5-speed manual transmission with an aluminum 28-ounce
flywheel and 3.73 rear end. The engine features H-beam rods,
gapless piston rings, SRS pistons, hydraulic roller cam, 595/605
lift, and 248/256 duration at .050" with a 110 overlap. Heads are
CNC Edelbrock Victor Jr., as is the intake manifold, which has been
port-matched and is topped off with a Demon carburetor. Other
engine goodies include an Edelbrock water pump, Manley pushrods,
March V-belt pulley set, MSD distributer, 6AL box, Blaster 2 coil
and wires, and a Romac harmonic balancer. The engine build was
$10,880. This Cobra features the factory-style tilted shifter,
polished stainless-steel quick jacks as well as Jet Hot
silver-coated side pipes. Other extras include a kill switch,
factory Superformance car cover, and aluminum fire extinguisher and
mounting bracket. This Cobra obtained a California SB100
registration (no smog required in California), and includes its
original Superformance owner's manual and other original delivery
