Vehicle Description
This 1970 Chevrolet El Camino SS 396 has been upgraded with a
period-correct 402ci 8-cylinder engine mated to a Doug Nash 4-speed
manual transmission and is equipped with 10.5:1 compression,
square-port cylinder heads, new powder-coated square-port intake
manifold, 11" clutch, and a 12-bolt posi-traction rear end that's
been powder-coated with new bearings. It has a roller camshaft,
roller rockers, ceramic-coated headers, a new master cylinder with
power boosters and a new wiring harness. The exterior was stripped
to bare metal, repainted and features a functional SS
cowl-induction hood. The SS gauges were updated to sweep gauges and
the interior features new carpet, headliner and seal plates. It
rides on new brakes, rotors and calipers, and has powder-coated
front and rear sway bars, powder-coated coil springs and a new
radiator. Included with this El Camino is its original Build Sheet.
