Vehicle Description
This 1957 GMC half-ton, long-bed pickup is a southern Arizona truck
that has recently undergone a no-expense-spared ground-up
restoration. It's finished in new turquoise and white paint with
replated chrome and an oak bed floor, and side boards with
stainless-steel bed strips and bolts. It rides on new custom wheels
wrapped in new tires and has a factory under-bed spare tire. This
pickup is powered by a modified 5.0-liter small-block Chevrolet
engine outfitted with many chrome components, backed by a
BorgWarner 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive. It comes
equipped with an all-new brake system, new original-design
suspension and steering linkage, new driveshaft and U-joints, and a
rebuilt original Spicer 45 rear axle assembly with 3.07 gears. The
interior is all new, including the switches, radio, speakers,
mirrors, wiring harness and electric wipers.
