This 1966 is of one of the most iconic generations of Chevelle and

right, this is a true 138 VIN car. For those unfamiliar, the 138
VIN indicates that this was built as a real Super Sport Chevelle
and is not a clone. But wait, there's more! Under the hood sits the
real, original, numbers-matching 396 big-block V8. The engine bay
looks clean and correct although tasteful upgrades have been
performed here and there to improve on the drivability and
reliability of the car. For instance, A Mallory distributor has
been equipped for a much more reliable spark to the huge engine.

This puppy puts the power to the ground by way of a 3-speed TH350
transmission and a GM 12-bolt posi rear axle will light the rear
tires up for those with a heavy right foot.
The exterior is very clean and is missing nothing. The red paint is
not the original color, but is very flattering on this car! This is
a very presentable car that would be an excellent candidate for
someone looking to own a real-deal SS Chevelle! The original floor
pans are in place and in excellent condition. It has had new
exhaust including mufflers installed as well as new front power
disc brakes to replace the original drums.
The interior is black with buckets; the perfect match to a red
exterior! Both the carpet and headliner have been replaced
recently. The radio and heat work as they should and it even has
the correct "Knee Knocker" tachometer! Overall, this Chevelle is in
excellent condition and has all of the positive attributes any
discerning buyer would want in a 138 Chevelle SS.
