Though the first-generation Mustang kept the same general design
for many years, each year received slight updates gradually
creating a more and more aggressive look. The 1967 Mustang is
arguably the first year that these changes start to become very
apparent, and boy do these '67s look nice! They aren't quite as
aggressive-looking as a 1969 but aren't as tame in appearance as
1965 either.
This example is painted in a pleasant shade of yellow, a repaint in
the original "Springtime Yellow." A believed to be 3-owner car, the
body of this Mustang is in great shape. Like most early mustangs,
if you glance underneath the car you'll see the floor pans have had
a few patches, all of which were done professionally. Originally
sold to the Oklahoma City area, it was quickly moved to North
Caroilna early in its life and has remained here since!
Get behind the wheel and you'll notice right off that this Mustang
runs great! The engine is very smooth and surprisingly responsive.
This car drives and handles great; just like a Mustang should!
Glance at the corners and you'll see the owner opted to improve on
the braking system by adding 4-wheel power disc brakes that feature
drilled and slotted rotors. Additionally, it has both power brakes
and power steering as well as factory air conditioning. Under the
hood you'll find the iconic 289ci V8 that left the factory as a
C-code 2-bbl. Today the V8 houses the original 289 air cleaner
which is hiding a 4-barrel Edelbrock carburetor, an aluminum
intake, as well as a set of Moroso plug wires.
The interior is mostly original and is in excellent original
condition. The steering wheels is a nice, wood wheel that sits just
right in your grip. When behind the wheel, the hidden hood-mounted
turn signal indicators are visible. Not only is this an incredibly
neat feature, but they also work correctly! Also, when was the last
time you saw a factory bench seat in a 67 Mustang that wasn't a
base model 6-cylinder? That's right, power steering, 4-wheel power
disc brakes, A/C, wood wheel and a factory bench vinyl seat.
Overall, this is a clean and solid little cruiser. It drives and
handles great, the interior is straight and clean. All it needs is
a new owner!
