A revised XJ6 was introduced in 1979 and was christened the Series
III. The styling was updated by Pininfarina and feature a number of
modest styling changes. A Vanden Plas model was reintroduced for
the US market as the top end luxury trim. A DOHC 4.2L I6 or SOHC
5.3L V12s were the available engine choices.

XJ6 Vanden Plas edition for your consideration. This stunning
example is finished in what is believed to be Satin Beige Metallic
paint. The body is very clean and the paint and chrome are
excellent. Rubber trim and seals are in nice condition as well.
This car has been in the same family since new and has seen just
80k miles since. The car recently spent the last 15 years in
climate controlled storage were it was driven very sparingly.
Everything is very original and there car has never been in any
accidents. The car retains its stock factory alloy wheels that have
older tires mounted. The interior is very clean and original as
well and features nice cream colored leather seats and trim. The
upholstery is very clean and the car has a nice dashboard. Just a
little usual wear and tear is present and the wood veneer has a few
cracks in the finish. Being a top spec model, this car is very well
equipped for the time period and includes such items like a
sunroof, power windows, trip computer, climate control, and a
stereo with a tape deck.
With low mileage and an excellent caretaker, this Jaguar is in
fabulous mechanical shape and fires right up at the turn of the
key. It goes down the road very smoothly and the 4.2L straight six
and automatic transmission are relaxed partners. This classic Jag
is the perfect choice for stylish and stress free motoring.
