This AMX with Typhoon 343ci (285HP), 4-Barrel, 4 Speed Go-Pack is a Northwest car with only 58,209 original miles. It has been recently restored to mostly original specifications. The original matching engine has all new gaskets, seals and freeze plugs and has been cleaned and painted.
The car has front power disc brakes, power steering, dual exhaust, twin skunk racing stripes, original space saver spare tire with fill bottle, scissors jack and folding lug wrench, tachometer, headrests and fan shroud.
Body work was completed in 2014 including new Matador Red paint with twin racing stripes. New Legendary red interior including 5 piece molded carpeting, embroidered floor mats, vinyl door panels and Ventilear Vinyl seats (new foam) with headrests, new fiberglass ribbed headliner, sail panels and rear lower interior trim piece. Front and rear bumpers and bumper guards have been re-chromed.
Newly rebuilt 4-speed Borg Warner transmission, rebuilt factory ITC shifter, new clutch, pressure plate, linkage, bell crank, etc. and new rebuilt twin grip posi-traction and rear gearing. Replaced the original automatic transmission.
Overhauled original front end including a rebuild of the trunnions, knuckles, new control arm bushings, new idler arm, repacked front hubs, new outer tie rod ends, new strut rod bushings, etc.
