Here is an absolutely amazing find! It is a very original, mostly untouched 1948 Cadillac Series 62 club coupe also known as a fastback and a sedanette. We purchased the car from a collector who has owned it since the early 1990s. He purchased it then at the Hershey PA swap meet, which is known, for finding, nice clean original cars like this one here. It is mostly original with only one repaint on it, in its original color of Kingswood Gray done several years ago. The car only has 61K original miles on it and a completely original interior. It is super hard finding clean original Cadillacs like this anymore. Especially, a fastback like this one here. It is in excellent running and driving condition and just a good honest car. This car can be left alone as a survivor or spend a little money and take it to the next level. It's a great car either way and priced to sell! We have seen these '48 to '49 Fastbacks sell for prices reaching the six-figure mark in mint condition.

Exterior:
This Cadillac has a very clean look. As I stated before, it looks to only have been painted once in its original color of Kingswood Gray several years ago. But it still looks fantastic and the paint has been very well preserved and shows beautifully. The car was clearly taken apart and done the right way. The body is super straight and solid with excellent fit and finish. It is about 97 percent rust free as there are only a couple minor spots in the front and rear inner rockers on both sides of the car. They can be left alone, as they are so minor or can easily be repaired. The frame, floors and rest of the car are totally rust free. It is all shown in my pictures and in my video. The rear bumper was for sure rechromed, the front bumper looks great and may be original but looks too nice. The grill is excellent but has two little dings. All the rest of the chrome and trim is in fantastic original condition. Some of the items have a touch more patina then others but overall it is a very clean presentation. All of the glass and rubbers are in very good shape also. It is sitting on its original red wheels with beautiful original hubcaps and wide white wall tires.
Interior:
It has what looks to be an all-original blue and gray broadcloth interior that is in over all, very good condition. It does have a few flaws in the front seat that could be left alone or repaired using the OEM material you can buy from SMS fabrics. The back seats, headliner and door panels are excellent along with the carpets. All the chrome and trim on the interior looks amazing. The steering wheel looks amazing with one hairline crack. The painted wood dash is original showing some patina. Everything works great in the car except the radio and clock. The wipers work but need some attention. Inside the trunk in completely all original with correct material, spare and tools.
Mechanically:
The car runs and drives very well. It has its original 346ci V8 engine that is all stock and purrs like a kitten. It only has 61K pampered original miles and you can tell by driving the car. Under the hood is all stock, original and very clean. It truly runs and drives like a nice, untouched, original low mileage car should. It is very quiet, tight and a pleasure to drive!
