Offered here is a very rare Franklin: a 1933 Olympic Coupe Roadster. The Olympic was Franklin's small line that they offered starting in 1933, but it ended up being more of a "hot rod" of sorts. Although the Olympic was a smaller and lighter model than its larger counterpart, the Airman, the engine was the same big air cooled 6 cylinder resulting in a lighter car with a lot of power.
Offered here is the most sought after version of the Olympic, a convertible coupe. Just out of a very long time ownership this Olympic convertible coupe is very original and was restored sometime in the 1980's. Since then the car has been driven and maintained and the restoration has held up very well. The colors of tan and brown are noted as being original colors for this car offered by Franklin in 1933. Mechanically it runs and drives very well recently having the fuel system cleaned and rebuilt as well as all new brakes, wheel cylinders and master cylinder. Overall, this Franklin Olympic coupe roadster is a very nice example of the handful of Olympic coupe roadsters known to exist today.
