1964 STUDEBAKER DAYTONA CONVERTIBLE ~ RESTOMOD ~ Corvette LT1 4L60E
10 BOLT 373 Stainless Exhaust Ultra Rare Classic One of a Kind
Dramatic Stunner Only 704 Daytona Convertibles were produced as the
last convertibles that Studebaker ever made . The Daytona was
classified as the Top of the Line Sport Coupe/Convertible and named
after the Daytona Race Track to bring Studebaker into the Muscle
car realm. Lots of history on these cars and they are a lost
treasure. Only 200 or so are left today ! Originally a Canadian
built it was restored in Canada in 2009 and fitted frame off with a
new modern frame and all GM running gear from a C4 Corvette and
Pontiac TransAm. Motor is Stock Vette LT1 along with 4L60 E
transmission run to a Transam 10 bolt posi rear and axle with 373
gear ratio. Aluminum Radiator with dual electric fans. Dual
Stainless steel custom exhaust. Tubular front A arms and rack and
pinion power steering along with 4 wheel power disc brakes to the
four Pontiac GM 17' 5 spoke polished aluminum wheels and Michelin
tires. This car drives, handles and runs with the road feel of a
Transam / Camaro circa 1990's. 100's of hours spent on this build
to bring this car to a modern driver/performer. A luxury to have
with these components and reliability . The finish on this car is
very high quality. It does have minor chips and 2 small paint
imperfections on the lower front of the doors that really is not
noticeable . A minor cosmetic correction to bring to satisfaction.
It is very durable and has stood the test of time . The canvas
convertible top is like new and powers up and down as right as it
