Vehicle Description
This truck is set up to lay down some serious miles in style and
comfort. Two-wheel drive puts the truck lower to the ground and
along with a nice aero package, it not only looks good but should
also get better fuel mileage. Long distance cruising is easy on a
drivetrain, so don't let a few miles on the clock bother you. So,
check out this Cowboy Cadillac and set your sights on some
traveling. Go ahead, set those sights way on out there, this is the
perfect ride for it.
The Choo Choo Custom aero package looks great in Black, and yes, it
even includes Cadillac badging in the deal. Up front the body
colored bumper reaches low for the ground and includes a nice set
of fog lights down low for when you want to keep rolling on those
foggy nights. A splash of chrome outlines the blacked-out grill
with a Cadillac badge leading the way. Cadillac appears in script
just above the side molding on the door and side aero keeps air out
from under the truck. Sail panels trail off the back of the cab
helping decrease drag even further, and a power operated tonneau
cover keeps the air flow smooth while keeping cargo safe and dry.
More Cadillac badging is on the tailgate along with some serious
lights in the bumper that would come in handy while hooking up a
trailer to the receiver behind the license plate, or while
unloading cargo. Drop the gate and you will find a nice bedliner
and evidence that this truck earned its keep hauling something
under that tonneau.
Open the door and you will find the comfortable interior that you
would expect in a Silverado with a few custom features added that
make it not only look better, but make long distance traveling even
easier. The door panel sets the theme with wood trim dressing out
the door and power window and lock switches are at your fingertips.
The Red, really more of a Maroon, seats are power operated Cadillac
items with dual armrests, so of course are super comfortable. A
custom wooden console looks great and has plenty of convenient
storage, cup holders, and the shifter for the manual transmission
along with the power tonneau cover and compressor controls. The
steering wheel has tilt and cruise controls along with a Cadillac
center button. The speedo and gauges are clearly visible directly
in front of the driver and there is a radar detector mounted up
high to give you fair warning when the speed limits drop in small
towns.
Pop the hood and you will find a tried and true Chevy 350 that
makes about 200 horsepower at 4000 rpm, but more importantly, 300
foot-pounds of torque at 2800 rpm. So, it makes its max torque at
normal highway cruising speeds. The air filter top has been
flipped, a trick from the old days before expensive cold air intake
systems, in order to get lots of good fresh air to the engine, and
it is obvious that this ride received good regular maintenance. The
serpentine belt as well as the hoses have all been replaced fairly
recently. There is a new alternator and new A/C compressor lines.
It is just a clean and well-maintained engine bay. The choice of
the 5-speed overdrive manual transmission is interesting and points
again to efficient long-distance cruising as the thing this truck
is set up to do. Power steering and power front disc brakes along
with a control arm front suspension with beefy sway bars both front
and rear make this truck handle great and the rubber meets the road
through 245/60R15s in the front and 275/60R15s in the back mounted
on ARE polished alloy wheels.
Come on down and take this truck out for a ride. It may be exactly
the truck you have been looking for.
