For Sale: 1959 Fiat 500D in Scottsdale, Arizona

Vehicle Description

Nothing is cuter than this very rare, original 1959 Fiat 500 D. First introduced in 1957 as the Nuova 500, this rare version was first marketed in the US in 1958 through 1960, and was specially built to meet the US D.O.T standards, including the "froggy-eyed" headlamps. The car has compact lines, suicide doors, narrow rear tail lights, and a folding roof. The dashboard is a picture of simplicity. This is the model for the new Fiat 500s on the road today.

This is a four seat utility car that is only 10 feet long, and sports a 479 cc two cylinder air cooled rear engine and a four speed gearbox. This restored 500D includes new wheel cylinders, fuel pump, spark plugs, distributor and points, and thermostat. It also has new voltage regulator, and the starter motor and carburetor have been replaced with rebuilt units. The odometer reads 25,400 miles.

Everything on this car is in good working order, but needs a new battery and one tire, and needs to be tuned up to get it running again because it has been sitting in my garage too long. The car has a clean Arizona Title.

Sadly, I don't have time or space to store this any longer because we are downsizing to a condo. The price is $10,500 or best offer (Haggerty lists the average value as $17,000).
