been recently restored to OEM specifications. It has a
numbers-matching engine and all of the W-30 options including the
correct, rebuilt/restored, aluminum intake, 'H' heads, carburetor,
distributor, 'W' and 'Z' code exhaust manifolds and 'Rock-Crusher'
Muncie M22 4 speed transmission and Hurst shifter. Include manual
disc brakes, W-25 Outside Air Induction system, HD cooling system
with Harrison radiator, power steering, 3.42 posi-traction rear

bucket seat console, working AM/FM stereo and 8-track player, power
trunk release, hood lock, floor mats and dual sport mirrors. All of
the glass is date coded and brand new. It has all new wiring, a
rear-deck spoiler, bumper guards and beautiful SS-I wheels with
Firestone Wide Oval tires, which are my favorite wheel/tire
combination. This 1971 Oldsmobile 442 was originally purchased in
North Carolina and it spent the first 45 years of its life with
just two owners. I purchased it in 2013 and immediately invested a
sizable amount in having it undergo a complete rotisserie
restoration. This included stripping the body/frame down to bare
metal ensuring that it was built back to factory specifications,
including professional paint, complete restoration of the interior,
new vinyl top installation, suspension and more. The original
engine was also completely rebuilt as well. I have all receipts in
case you are interested. FYI - The motor is original, but the
transmission, heads, intake, carburetor, distributor, rear end are
not, but are all OEM parts that have been restored. The red fender
wells are nice reproductions. I purchased the car from a gentleman
in North Carolina, who was adamant that the car was a true W-30. He
mentioned that all of the W parts were stolen while in the paint
shop. I spoke with several of the seller's friends and business
partners who knew of the car and they also believed it to be a
legitimate W-30 car. The car was in pieces when I bought it and
freshly painted dark blue. After I hauled the car back home, I
disassembled the body from the frame and had both media blasted to
bare metal. The car had very little rust and what was there was
repaired with metal patches and primed. The frame had virtually no
damage and was powdercoated along with many other components like
the sway bars, controls arms, anti-skip (frame reinforcement) bars
and fender support bars. The front and rear suspensions were
rebuilt with new and restored components from Moog (rubber). I made
the decision to restore the car using only OEM parts, then went on
a 2-3 year search for all of the missing components. After finding
and restoring them, I began putting the car back together according
to the assembly manual. I've added an AM/FM stereo, 8-track player,
remote trunk release, hood lock, tilt wheel, power steering and a
vinyl roof because I like the look. The paint is the correct Viking
blue based on the trim tag's exterior color code of '26'. A subtle
amount of blue pearl was added to the clear coat to make to the
paint pop a bit more in the sun. Much preparation was performed
prior to painting the car. You can immediately see the quality work
when viewing the very straight body. An original OAI hood came with
the car, but had too much rust and fiberglass damage, so I
purchased a reproduction OAI hood from Thornton Muscle Cars, who
makes a very correct and quality product. Inside, the seats were
fully restored using aftermarket seat covers, but all of the door
panels are original. The dash and all instrumentation and lighting
are original. The original, numbers-matching engine was rebuilt to
1970 specifications according to the seller. I removed the existing
cast iron intake manifold and installed the factory
