1951 Cadillac Series 62Presenting a high end restoration on a
gorgeous 1951 Cadillac Series 62 4 door sedan. Possibly the nicest
and most definitely the most mechanically sound 1951 Cadillac
Series 62 in the world. We purchased the car in its present
cosmetic condition and found out in short order that the engine was
bad. So $6000 later the car now has a virtually all new 331 CI V8.
The overall consisted of a complete rebuild including boring engine
block, reconditioned connecting rods with new pistons and rings,
machined crankshaft and all new engine bearings. New camshaft,
lifters, cam bearings and timing chain. Cylinder heads have been
reconditioned, resurfaced, all intake valves replaced, the valves
and valve seats ground and new valve guides. The water pump was
replaced and radiator cleaned. This car is collector grade for sure
with all the optional equipment one would expect on one of the most
expensive cars produced in 1951, including power windows, power
seat, power steering a modern AM/FM stereo and more. The Raven
Black paint is close to perfect as well as all the stainless chrome
etc. Turnkey condition, ready to be driven and enjoyed or taken to
shows which it's destined to win all kinds of trophies for best of
show.
