Split Window
One Year Only! 1963 was the first year of the new and improved
second generation Corvette, which was the first year of the
Stingray body and the only year the split rear window was offered.
For Corvette aficionados, this is a must-have car for a complete
collection. The Mid-Years are the most iconic (and beautiful)
Corvettes ever made, and the Split-Window remains the most iconic
and collectible of all.
Garage Kept Motors is pleased to offer this 1963 Chevrolet Corvette
Split Window out of a local collection. Our client has owned the
vehicle since 1999 and has recently gone through the car, making it
sale ready. It has a brand new interior and all brand new wiring -
$5k was just spent on engine, rear, and dash wiring. It also has
new stainless exhaust, new tail lights, newer tires, and a new
steering wheel. Over $12k total was spent on parts to make it road
worthy. The car fires on command and shifts smooth. A great running
and driving example. Pop-up headlights function as they should
too.
The original 327 was replaced with a small block 350ci V8 with the
4-Speed Borg-Warner transmission. Suspension components remain all
original. The car is finished in factory original Sebring Silver
paint (code 941A) with factory correct Black trim. It is a power
window optioned car with power brakes as well. The car runs well
and demands attention wherever driven. Mileage is also believed to
be original.
The back window is just breathtaking. The best looking Corvette
they've ever made, in our opinion. A beautiful example at a
reasonable price. Be sure to check out all the photos and video on
our main website: Garage Kept Motors. Call if interested or e-mail
with any questions. Thank you for looking.
