With only 6,000 miles on a rebuild and fresh paint job, this 1966
Caprice is ready to hit the open road and shown off! Under the hood
of this classic GM sits a big block 396 cubic inch V8 rated at 325
horsepower right from the factory that was freshened up and rebuilt
when the upgraded 700R4 automatic transmission with overdrive was
put in. This drivetrain is perfect for a classic car enthusiast
that plans to drive this car frequently and may even do some
highway driving. Another great feature this car received was the
Vintage Air air conditioning and heat the uses the more up to date
R134A refrigerant allowing it to be easily recharged if needed. The
beautiful blue paint was laid on this car only a couple years and
is show worthy. Moving inside the car you will notice just how well
this Caprice has been taken care of with the black vinyl seats that
show minimal wear and are very comfortable to sit in. The wood
accents inside are also in good shape and contrast nicely against
the dark interior. This car was well optioned with an AM/FM radio
with controls located on the center council for easy adjusting,
power windows, power steering, and power brakes. As you get behind
the wheel, fire up the big block, and drop it down into drive, this
classic Caprice takes off smoothly and coasts along with ease. The
396 has plenty of torque to get up to speed. As you are driving
along you will notice how easy it is to monitor all the gauges and
how little effort is needed to start, stop and get up to speed.
Other recent work that has been done includes new U-joints, new
front disc brakes, master cylinder, and power booster. The exhaust
was also changed to give it a good low growl out the back until it
is uncorked using the cutoffs that dump out by the front fenders
when you feel like setting off a couple car alarms! This Caprice
was built to be shown off and driven so if you are in the market
for a classic Chevrolet that can be thoroughly enjoyed and shown
this is a great option for you! This vehicle is located in our
