Now featured in our Denver showroom is this wildly built 1968
Chevrolet Camaro that is both show car looks and performance
oriented! This first-generation Camaro has been set up nicely for
the drag strip with a full cage and a lightened body. The body was
lightened up by taking the whole front clip and the doors and
replacing them with fiberglass panels which look just as great as
the original sheet metal that came off the car. The full cage with
door bars is still surprisingly easy to get in and out of and has
been run through the fire well and connected to the front of the
frame for added rigidity. Sitting under the hood and pushing this
car down the track at a blistering pace is a professionally built
427 cubic inch V8 that has a serious lope while at idle. Connected
behind that is the 2-speed powerglide transmission for easy
shifting and less room for error when looking to lay down a good
time. As you hop inside and get behind the wheel you will find
yourself staring at the large tach with shift light to keep you on
the ball while making runs as well as a switch panel that is well
labeled with what each switch is there for: Ignition, fuel, water,
fan and start. Turn the ignition flip your switches and as you line
up to heat up your tires you will find the two buttons near the
shifter labeled "TB" and "LL" for trans brake and line lock. This
classic Camaro is a complete turn key drag car OR take it down to
the local cruise night or car show and show it off there! The wild
paint job on this car will fit right in at your local car show and
may even win a couple trophies! What ever your plan may be with
this beautiful Camaro it is sure to be a ton of fun and you will
look good while doing it! This vehicle is located in our Denver
showroom. You can view this 1968 Chevrolet Camaro in greater detail
