assembled on December 8, 1965, this 1966 Corvette Big Block
Convertible features a FRESH BODY-OFF RESTORATION, as well as
desirable power steering, which is rarely found on big block cars,
in addition to knockoff style wheels, goldline tires, and side
exhaust. Many purists would consider this car to be
"over-restored"> nearly every component on this car looks as if
it's brand new, which is really refreshing to see as many of these
cars are left in average condition just for the sake of being
original. Nonetheless, it's obvious that someone paid serious
attention to detail when restoring this car, as nearly all major
components show correct numbers. This car's paint is vg-exc, with a
stunning, mile-deep shine. Convertible top is exc, and all exterior
glass shows a correct date code. Chrome bumpers show a vg-exc
finish, and taillights, weatherstripping, and knockoff style wheels
are all exc. Spinners are vg-exc, and custom goldline radial tires
show an average of 11/32nds tread depth remaining. This car's
entire interior looks to be new, with exc seats, dash pods, GM
seatbelts, glovebox lid, center console, gauges, carpet, and
steering wheel. Sill plates are vg-exc, and a correct appearing
AM/FM radio is in place. The engine in this car shows original
casting date September 8, 1965, and final assembly date October 8,
1965> although these numbers line up with the assembly date of
the car, we believe the stamp pad to be non-original, and therefore
we are selling this car as having a restoration engine with
matching numbers. Correct air cleaner, carburetor, intake manifold,
ignition shielding, valve covers, spark plug wires, alternator,
radiator hoses, and hose clamps are all in place, and both the
rust-free frame and engine compartment have been very nicely
