1969 Chevrolet Camaro Super Sport
Garage Kept Motors is pleased to offer a built, not bought first
generation Camaro. This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS has been
completely restored for show and built for performance. The car
originally came from South Carolina, rust free, and into our
clients possession in 2013. Over the course of five years, the car
was dramatically enhanced to the show piece seen today. No expense
was spared, no corners were cut.
American Gasser of Saginaw, MI professionally restored the body and
painted the car in iconic Hugger Orange with White Stripes, pulling
the motor and transmission for the job. Over 400 hours of labor
went into perfecting five base coats and five clear coats to master
a mirror finish. All glass was replaced with new tinted glass.
Brake calipers and front sway bar were painted orange to match. The
interior was done by TMI Interiors of Corona, CA with an upgraded
center console. On look alone, the car has placed top 25 or best at
big car shows in Michigan, including 3rd in class at the famous
Detroit Autorama Show in 2018.
Performance-wise, this car was also built to perform. The engine is
a completely rebuilt 454ci/400hp V8 with a 350 Turbo Hydromatic
with a 3500 stall. Suspension is a Detroit Speed QA1 in front and
Chris Alston 4-Link with Sway Bar in the rear. Wheels are Budnik
"Knife" rims with Nitto 555G2 rubber 17x9 front and 17x11 rear.
Rear end is a stock 3.06 with Posi. Radiator is a BeCool
Competition Aluminum with two fans, Dashboard is custom cluster
housing with Auto Meter gauges. Other noteworthy upgrades include
Amber Halo Headlights, Billet Chrome Components, 2-Inch Cowl Hood,
Holly 4bbl, Edelbrock Intake, Wilwood 12-inch drilled/slotted
rotors with 4 piston calipers, and detailed trunk. It is super
clean from top to bottom, inside and out.
This car is one of the cleanest SS clones you'll fine. It is the
epitome of a turn-key Pro-Touring driver with show quality details.
This car will provide the next owner 100+ mph in the quarter mile
and/or a smooth modern ride at low rpms on the highway - the best
of both worlds. This car cannot be built for anywhere near the
price we are asking here. Less than 1,700 miles recorded since the
Autometer package was installed last January - car has 60k total
