Vehicle Description
It's stout, muscular and absolutely loaded with curb appeal. This
1969 Chevrolet C10 CST is one vintage truck you can spot from far
off and, if you do, you'll definitely like what you see. In
addition to the powerful first impression it makes, it also
features some great custom craftsmanship, is well-equipped, and
runs and drives great. Pop the glove box and you'll find a
collection of restoration photos to document this vintage Chevy's
transformation to awesomeness.
Decked out in high impact purple paint, this C10 is sure to draw
attention wherever it may roam. The magnetic color is in good form
here, showing a nice deep shine and consistent texture. The cowl
hood is a great added detail that also provides a hint that this
classic is equipped with some substantial power - and in this case,
it is. As a shortbed, it's got a stout, rugged appearance that
makes it look like it can take on anything in its path and its
collection of clean chrome take its place against its nicely fitted
and customized exterior. Up front, a billet grille sits over a
table-straight, unblemished front bumper to add to this pickup's
distinct appearance and, if you spin around to the side, you'll
appreciate how the flaring rear fenders combine with modded
wheelhouses inside the bed to accommodate the massive rubber that's
on hand here. In back, the modified side markers and custom tail
lights are great additional touches. The exterior alignment is on
point as well - the customized bed in back blends nicely with the
cab and the gaps between body panels are even on all sides.
Climb inside and you'll be surrounded by an interior that provides
a great driving environment as this custom shortbed turns heads.
Nicely re-covered in black leather, the bench seat is in great
shape - it carries plenty of padding and shows no perceptible wear.
There are a lot of great touches inside - the dash area features an
instrument panel's worth of Dakota digital gauges that illuminate
the cabin in blue at night, a custom center panel has been added
below the dash to house a trio of additional gauges, as well as an
AM/FM/CD stereo with iPod connectivity and a Hurst shifter with
line lock sits within easy reach of the driver. Raise the black
tonneau cover over the bed and you'll see that the wooden planks
lining its floor sport a distinctive dark hue and, from this
vantage point, the custom tubbed wheelhouses modified to
accommodate the sizable rear tires come into view.
This C10 carries a great array of mechanical components to provide
an outstanding driving experience. A 427 cubic inch V8 resides
below the cowl hood, dressed with a compact chrome air cleaner and
matching chrome valve covers that blend perfectly with the chrome
power brake booster and alternator. The big block has a 4-barrel
Holley on top and sounds great as it vocalizes through the long
tube headers leading out to its Flowmaster mufflers. A 700R4
4-speed automatic transmission sits just behind the powerplant,
offering its overdrive gear to keep RPMs low at highway speeds. The
air tank mounted in the bed is your first indication that an Air
Ride suspension is on board to provide nearly endless adjustability
to the stance and this system is in great working order. Power
steering makes handling easy, while power disc brakes at all four
corners bring this stellar truck's set of custom 20" wheels that
feature massive Mickey Thompson Sportsmans in back to quick
stops.
Well-equipped, endlessly appealing and carrying plenty of power,
