This is what everyone is looking for in a Mustang. Not to mention
it is great looking, the red pops against the white and it has
several features that enhance it even more. Restored very well
too!
EXTERIOR: Extra enhancements include the chrome wheels, lettered
tires, dual mirrors, red C-stripe and the Sprint package. That
includes rocker moldings and the louvered hood with the built in
turn signals. The body is actually really clean, I just put a
magnet on the bottom and it's sticks. Front fenders sound like tin
when you tap on them, bottom of the door seams are really clean, no
cuts or splices from inside the 1/4 panels. There's no bubbles or
blisters. The Wimbledon white paint is put on real smooth and
buffed glossy, no significant flaws whatsoever. Jambs are clean,
nice rubber and sill plates. Front and back bumpers, grill, tail
lights, gas cap, reverse lights, emblems have been replaced. The
mirrors, trim around the convertible opening and windshield are
very nice original. The black power top looks practically new, it
has the optional two piece glass rear window instead of the soft
plastic. The 15 inch chrome GT style wheels look new and BFG white
letter tires look new.
INTERIOR: I'm sitting in the car right now and it is actually very
nice, the dash is sparkling, seats are comfortable. The red carpet
with matching embroidered carpet floor mats look new, the shifter
and bezel is new. Original red seat belts are in excellent shape
front and back. Upholstery, rear armrests, door panels have been
replaced. The window cranks and door handles have been replaced.
The dash area has all new chrome bezels and vents. The dash pad is
new, steering wheel is good original. The radio looks like an
original but it has upgraded stereo guts with auxiliary plugs.
There are molded kick panels with speakers too. The well liner that
the top folds into has been replaced.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Great first impression, very clean and proper
looking. Sitting right in the middle is a 302 motor with a few nice
upgrades. Has aluminum ntake with an Edelbrock carb, MSD
distributor, flamethrower coil and a set of headers. The motor has
a nice clean Ford blue paint job. You can tell it was a part when
it was painted because the nuts and bolts and gaskets don't have
paint on them. Has stock looking air cleaner and valve covers. Air
conditioning system is new, the power steering system is new, it
also has power brakes. The bottom of the hood is painted white like
the exterior, the engine bay is nice clean metal painted satin
black. All the components look proper- the fan shroud, wiring,
overflow bottle, decals, horns etc. Its ready to go.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Has clean metal painted white, a new mat and a
nice black painted rim with a new BFG tire for a spare. The jack is
included as well. The bottom of the trunk is painted nice, has the
jacking decal, latches have been cleaned and it has new
weatherstrip.
UNDERSIDE: Bottom of the motor has clean blue paint, fresh bolts on
the pan, new starter. The C-4 trans is clean, has chrome pan, new
u-joints. Front end components look like they have been replaced
not long ago. Has disc brakes in front. Shocks, fuel tank, dual
exhaust was all replaced recently. The floors are all metal, rock
solid. Clean and painted a nice semi gloss black. The E-brake
cables are hooked up.
This Mustang checks many of the boxes. It will be a pleasure to own
and have easy resale when you are done!
