Vehicle Description
Very handsome looking RS-SS, great factory color. It underwent a
body off frame restoration 3 years ago. The trim tag sure looks
original and says it was born an SS 350 with RS option. Factory
colors too.
EXTERIOR: I absolutely love the color and it's rare on a 67 Camaro.
Code E deepwater blue. The body is really clean and straight. You
see the reflection of the ground off the bottom of the car like a
mirror. I just walked around the car slowly, looking for any flaws
in the paint and I didn't see any. It looks like all the trim is
replaced. Starting up front the bumper and emblems are new. The SS
hood grills, mirror, handles are new. Stainless trim around roof,
windows, wheel wells and rocker trim is new. In back the tail
lights, gas cap, bumper and reverse lights were replaced. Also the
vinyl top is new. The windshield and door glass is new, the rest is
real nice and fits real good. The window fuzzy seals at the tops of
the doors are new. The door button is very easy to push and the
door pops open. Jambs are very neatly painted, new weather strips,
new sill plates the latches have been cleaned. Has 15 inch rally
wheels with all new trim. New staggered size BFG tires, slightly
taller in back for a real nice stance. The Rally Sport package
includes hideaway headlights, wide rocker moldings and the reverse
lights are mounted below the bumper.
INTERIOR: Interior has been completely restored. New upholstery
front and back, cushions seem like they're replaced too. New
headliner with matching visors. Door panels, armrests, window
cranks, dash pad and carpet are new. The instrument area is very
nice- the knobs, vents are shiny chrome. Has the factory center
console with custom shifter. Steering wheel is also an upgraded
cushion grip with SS center. Has a modern stereo with Bluetooth
capabilities. The overhead light works.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Has a crate 350 Chevy engine that should run
forever. It still has a very clean, fresh coat of Chevy orange
paint and everything around it looks new. The exhaust manifolds are
coated, has the heat shields around the spark plug wires. The
brackets, pulleys, valve covers, air cleaner, alternator all look
like new. Wiring is new. The fan, shroud and radiator are proper.
New brake system with cadmium plated booster, new power steering
hoses. Has spring clamp battery cables. The engine bay is all clean
with a smooth satin black finish. The suspension that shows is
detailed. This is a factory air conditioned car, missing some parts
under the hood. The firewall box is there and interior components.
Parts are available to complete.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: clean metal with a very nice coat of spackle
finish paint a new rubber mat bottom of the trunk lid in the jam or
painted glass in his new weatherstrip and the latches been cleaned
up
UNDERSIDE: The body was removed from the frame and underneath was
completely restored. The front end steering and suspension was
completely rebuilt and detailed. The bottom of the motor is still
spotless. New starter, flywheel cover, motor mounts and fuel pump.
The Turbo 350 trans was rebuilt 50 miles ago. New u-joints. Has
3.31 12 bolt rear. The brakes were redone, new hoses. E-brake not
hooked up. Upgraded Edelbrock shocks, new body bushings and rear
spring bushings. Real nice stainless exhaust system with transverse
muffler. Floors look clean, even the lower inner 1/4s still have
the drain plugs.
This is a fresh quality restoration of a desirable RS-SS Camaro.
For what it's worth I heard a lot of positive feedback from the
guys in the shop about this car.
