1972 Chevelle SS Clone resto-mod. Only 5,500 miles on professional rebuild at the Hot Rod Institute in Rapid City, SD. Ground up rebuild from Malibu Sports Coupe into an SS 454. Lifted off the frame just enough to be sure it was clean and install new body mounts. Has Gen VI 454 with Comp Cam hydraulic roller cam with .547 lift on the intake and .530 lift on the exhaust, Edelbrock Performer intake and Edelbrock Performer 750 carb and HEI ignition. Fully functioning Cowl Induction System. Recent dyno run shows on the ground HP of 364 and Tq at 469. Dyno operator equates that to flywheel HP 485 and Tq 625
Engine is backed up by a Tremec 6 speed manual, GM 12 bolt rear end with Tru-Trac traction unit and Moser rear diff cover.
Exhaust is a Flowmaster "American Thunder" system behind the headers.
Interior is all new with original style dash, console etc. Procar Rally bucket seats with rear seat and rear quarters recovered with matching vinyl and stitched to match.
Stands on 8" x 17" rear wheels and 7" x 17" front wheels. Car has factory tilt wheel, power steering and brakes. A Vintage AC system was installed to keep the engine compartment cleaner.
