This 1956 Austin-Healey 100 M was completed on 27 January 1956 and
finished in Reno Red with a Red interior and Black top. It featured
a heater, miles-per-hour speedometer, laminated windscreen, and
Duplo double vertical dip headlamps. A left-hand-drive export
model, the car was sold through Gilta Rabat S.A., of Morocco. The
car has since been refinished to its current color combination of
English White over black with white seats. It rides on painted
knock-off wire wheels with Dunlop Road Speed RS5 tires. Exterior
features on the car include a Le Mans-style vented bonnet with
leather strap, fog lights with Hella covers, a raked windshield,
and rear reflectors.
The car is powered by an inline four-cylinder engine featuring twin
SU carburetors and a beautiful aluminum valve cover; it is paired
to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The plaque
above the carburetors notes that the car was fitted with the Le
Mans' Modification Kit, presumably by the selling dealer. The car
retains its matching-numbers chassis, body, and engine, confirmed
by its accompanying BMIHT Certificate.
The interior has been restored to its current combination and
features a painted dashboard with Smiths instrumentation, a
wood-rimmed steering wheel, black door panels and carpets, and
bucket seats upholstered in white with red piping. The car is
accompanied by a full-size spare, as well as a tonneau cover. To
