Gateway Classic Cars of Milwaukee is proud to offer a 1940 Ford
Deluxe Coupe Street Rod. This '40 has had the full custom treatment
thrown at it. The body is steel with fiberglass fenders and is
finished in a metallic Midnight blue with ghost flames on the front
nose. It rides on 15" Billet Specialties wheels wrapped in radial
tires. The suspension has been upgraded to improve the stance and
ride. The front has a Heidts Super Ride front suspension with
tubular control arms, coil over shocks, rack and pinion steering,
and disc brakes. The rear features parallel leaf suspension and a
9" Ford rear end with 3.70 final drive ratio. Pop the hood and
you'll find a tried and true ZZ4 Chevrolet Crate Engine with 350
Cubic Inches and 355 Horsepower. Backing the small block is a TH350
3 speed automatic transmission which uses a floor mounted shifter.
The ZZ4 is kept cool thanks to an aluminum radiator, and the driver
and passenger are kept cool thanks to Vintage Air AC. The engine
makes a nice sound breathing through stainless steel exhaust with
Magnaflow mufflers. This beauty has been assembled with care and
has driven an impressive 22,395 miles since being completed. This
is not a garage queen and can be driven and enjoyed without worry.
