Vehicle Description
1936 Ford Sedan Delivery
When it comes to 'old school cool', it doesn't get much better than
a tricked Sedan Delivery. Comfortably accommodating two passengers
and maintaining the unique ability to haul anything from a birthday
gift, to a load of lumber. These fabled workhorses combine the best
characteristics of a flashy coupe with the straight up utility of a
commercial truck, and the cargo is enclosed, away from any
elements.
This 1936 Ford makes good use of the words "tricked out." With a
custom paint scheme, and wild custom padded cell like interior, all
you'll need is to apply your logo, and you are in business. Or
better yet, keep her as is, and throw the surfboards in the back,
and head to the beach. Now that's doing business!
Exterior
A Candy Apple Red, chrome badged, chrome bumpers, chrome accented 2
door rod will live up to the phrase "on time delivery." Some linear
yellow and blue contrasting graphics adorn the sides and play
chicken with the curved lines of the body. A nice set of running
boards attach the 2 fenders in the center as well as a single large
piece of glass for the windshield. Chromed steel solid 5 bolt
wheels with some oversized tires ground this delivery and allow a
bit of cornering to boot.
Interior
Tufted, buttoned diamond pattern faux leather vinyl adorns all the
interior vertical surfaces, as well as the non-stitched but
buttoned headliner. Brown carpeting runs abundantly on the rear bed
as well as the passenger compartment. A matching full bench seat
with split backs create a barrier between the passengers, and the
cargo. Backing up the seats and sitting in the front of the cargo
area is a custom-made cedar chest. No moth balls needed here! A
Candy Apple Red dash houses modern analog gauges, as well as the
original Art Deco inspired chromed ashtray and windshield crank
panel. An adjustable steering wheel is seen and the shift lever,
steering wheel height adjuster, and turn signal levers are a
beautiful polished aluminum.
Drivetrain
A Chevrolet 350ci short block V8 sits under the split louvered
hood. An automatic transmission is attached and has a 2500 RPM
stall converter. Engine has been modified with a solid lift cam. A
Camaro front clip, and a posi-traction rear end have been
installed. A view underneath one spies some surface rust, but all
is unremarkable.
At the end of the day, you really can't ask for a cooler street
rod. Sporting a solid body, first class paint, custom interior, and
solid drivetrain, this 36 has it all! And you can haul stuff...in
style. Talk about attracting new business.
