Vehicle Description
#s match, frame off restored to factory specs.
EXTERIOR: It is actually refinished better than it would have left
the factory. The body looks pristine, it's straight and fits really
nice. Factory code 923 Roman red, the paint is polished like glass.
It has a mirror reflection right down to the bottom of the body.
All of the chrome and trim has been or restored to show quality-
bumpers, tail lights, rear medallion, correct antenna, door
handles, mirrors, windshield trim, fender spears, grill etc. It has
four original T-3 headlights. The tires are reproduction
Firestones, the rims are painted black and has correct spinner
hubcaps in excellent shape. The windshield and gasket was replaced.
The door jambs are painted, weather strips and sill plates were
replaced. It does have a white convertible top in excellent
condition. The frame was restored, all new weather strips.
INTERIOR: So now I'm sitting in the car and it's also completely
restored. The instruments, dash pad, of course the carpets,
upholstery and door panels are all replaced. It has correct 6,500
redline tachometer for a fuelie, all the gauges work. It also has
carpeted floor mats, new shifter plate, correct reverse lockout
shifter with white ball. The heater works, has wonderbar radio and
seat belts. There are a few cracks in the steering wheel.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Numbers match and it's detailed to factory
specs. Very correct- vin # match motor with correct casting and
date codes. The heads, distributor, fuelie unit are all correctly
numbered. All of the components are clean, proper and have correct
finishes. I guess I never really thought of the solid axle Vettes
as muscle cars, I was wrong. This 327 is putting out 360 hp!.
That's more hp then cubic inches. Everything about this motor is
muscle- fuel injected, solid lift performance cam, better heads
etc. It even sounds tough, the idle is music to a gear head. This
one is running flawlessly, it will sink you into the seat!

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It was all painted red. There is something you
don't see too often- it has the jacking hardware in place. The
board over the tire is bolted down and has jacking instructions.
Under that it does have a matching reproduction tire. It has red
rubber mat, red divider, new weatherstrip, latches are detailed.
Bottom of the trunk lid and the jambs are painted real nice.
UNDERSIDE: The body was removed from the frame for restoration.
They duplicated the factory finishes, assembly line paint markings
and even the stencil on the frame. The floors are raw fiberglass
with red overspray from the body. At the time of restoration the
front and rear suspension was completely rebuilt, new brakes and
lines, correct dual exhaust system, the shocks are even the correct
spirals. The hardware, e-brake assembly, shift linkage, axle
straps, starter all look great. The bottom of the motor is still
spotless, has correct oil filter canister. The T-10 4-speed is
correctly dated: 6-25-62. Rear end is BM 03 30, a 3.36 posi.
This car was restored about 13 years ago to factory concourse
condition. It has been very well cared for and enjoyed by a
collector. It actually has about 7,700 miles since restored. This
is an investment that is in show shape and ready to drive. It's not
just a trailer queen, it functions really well. It would be
exhilarating to drive this classic!
