1970 Ford F100 Ranger 2WD 302 V-8
Built August 1969 at Ontario, Canada plant
This truck was purchased new by my wife’s grandfather at Searcy Ford in Tupelo, Mississippi, where he lived and drove the vehicle daily until his passing. Since then it was been driven occasionally in the summer and stored in a heated garage.
We have the original build sheet, the original certificate of title and the Protect-o-Plates proving her grandfather is the original owner.
The driver and passenger doors and front fenders have the typical lower panel rust. At some point grandpa tried to slow the rust down by painting a few spots with a brush.
The frame & under-hood inside fenders are solid.
The odometer reads 47,942. When we acquired the truck after his passing, we were unsure whether or not the miles had rolled over. As such, in the interest of complete honesty since we didn’t know, we listed the miles as “exceeds mechanical limits” when we retitled it to our family car dealership in order to keep it insured.
New tires. Battery new last year. Good front & rear brakes. Radio powers up but there is no sound. Washer fluid jar cracked.
