Very, very rare 1957 DeSoto Fireflite Explorer wagon, 934 made virtually none is known to still exist with only a few exceptions.
This car has been frame off restored and a ton of money has been spent so far.
The bodywork is at least 80% done (never any rust), the original 341 Hemi has been totally rebuilt, the torqueflite transmission was rebuilt, front end rebuilt, brakes rebuilt.
The body was taken off the frame and the frame plus all chassis components were blasted and powder coated black.
Most of the chrome (but not all) was trippel plated, show chrome by the best quality chrome shop in the South West.
At this point we have so much work and the shop is so full that we are putting the DeSoto up for sale for around half of what has been spent on the car. We would consider finishing the car as a regular job for the new owner if that is of interest.
