**** THIS VEHICLE WILL BE OFFERED FOR AUCTION AT THE
BARRETT-JACKSON SCOTTSDALE CLASSIC CAR AUCTION - JANUARY 11 -
JANUARY 19, 2020 **** When the Camaro debuted, a General Motors
corporate edict prevented it from carrying a V8 engine larger than
400 cubic inches. This put the Camaro at a disadvantage to the Ford
Mustang, Plymouth Barracuda and the Dodge Dart since neither Ford
nor Plymouth/Dodge had such a limit. Dealership owner and racer Don
Yenko knew there was a market for a more powerful Camaro and found
ways around the GM limit. The Yenko Super Camaro was a modified
Chevrolet Camaro prepared by Yenko Chevrolet with the originally
equipped 396 engines swapped for a thundering 427 cubic inch block.
Topped with an aluminum intake manifold and Holley carburetor the
Yenko Camaro was rumored to have over an astounding 450 horsepower.
To stand apart from the rest of the pack the Yenko Camaro sported a
twin-snorkel fiberglass hood and Pontiac Rallye II steel wheels
with special Yenko center caps. Front and rear spoilers, Yenko
emblems and Super Sport striping complete the all-business look.
This Yenko tribute Camaro had a frame-off professional rotisserie
restoration just completed this year and is in impeccable
condition. The super straight body is covered in Corvette Bronze
paint and is unbelievably shiny. Further enhancing the great looks
of this immaculate Camaro is the Rally Sport hideaway headlight
system. All new chrome trim, weather stripping and glass complement
the flawless exterior. The interior is all new with a Yenko
specific 140-mph speedometer and perfect black upholstery adorning
the bucket seats and the rest of the cabin. By anyone's estimation,
a 1968 Yenko Super Camaro is a rare car. Roughly 64 were built by
Yenko Chevrolet and it's believed that less than a third survive
today. Recently an original Yenko Camaro crossed an auction block
selling for $600,000 to become the most expensive Yenko Camaro ever
sold at auction. Here is your opportunity to own one of the most
sought-after Camaros ever produced at a fraction of the cost of an
original! Stock Number: HC2285 VIN: 124378N376518 Miles: 14 miles
