Head-Turning 1950 Chevrolet 3100 Thriftmaster Pickup
New to our Pleasanton showroom is this highly impressive 1950
Chevrolet 3100 Thriftmaster 2 Door Pickup with a Rust Patina
exterior, "Vic Hubbard Speed Equipment" logos and a black vinyl
interior. Don't let the sleeper appearance fool you, however,
because there's a pro built 5.3L Vortec V-8 engine under the hood
with a 4L60E automatic transmission, a 373 Posi rear end, a fully
boxed frame, a Chevy S10 front end, 4 wheel disc brakes, an Accuair
air-ride suspension and so much more. You'll also find modern
upgrades like cold air conditioning, rhino liner undercoating,
power windows, 4 wheel power disc brakes and Dakota gauges.
This 1950 Chevrolet 3100 Thriftmaster "Rat Rod" is in fantastic
mechanical condition- it's essentially a modern performance vehicle
that deceptively looks like it was found last week in a rural
field.
Gorgeous "Rat Rod" with World Class Performance
The current owner informs us that this 1950 Chevrolet 3100
Thriftmaster Pickup was a labor of love that began back in 2015 to
create a true "Rat Rod" build that could comfortably be driven from
coast to coast and everywhere in-between. Despite the rusted
exterior appearance, hundreds of hours went into this show truck to
strengthen the frame and add every possible modern performance
convenience. This pickup will cruise at 80 MPH along the highway
with people staring in awe- it's simply a really cool build that
was completed the right way. The Vortec motor was rated at 250
horsepower which is essentially perfect for this pickup.
Additionally, this 1950 Chevrolet Thriftmaster Pickup is
comfortable to ride in and does not sacrifice convenience for
modern aesthetics. The interior appears like you'd expect from a
classic example yet the air conditioning blows ice cold and the air
ride suspension simply glides down the highway. While it's
certainly not comparable to a modern luxury vehicle, most
collectors will be surprised at how modern this one feels on the
open road.
An Incredible Value for One Lucky Collector
Overall, this 1950 Chevrolet 3100 Thriftmaster Pickup is an awesome
rat rod that one lucky collector is going to have a lot of fun with
on the weekends. It would also make an optimal shop truck for a
local garage or delivery business since people literally can't stop
staring at it. Come see this one in person before it's gone- it's a
steal at the current asking price! For more information about this
