Vehicle Description
1 owner until 2012! It was then given a high quality, body off the
frame restoration by a professional Corvette shop. It is a factory
black over red car with vin #s matching motor. Has both tops. Very
fresh, it doesn't even look like it's been driven yet.
EXTERIOR: It is absolutely striking. The body and paint were not
this good when they left the factory new. This body is straight and
the body parts fit outstandingly well. The gaps are tight and
flush. You can read the fine print on our contract in the
reflection, it is like a mirror. I walked around it twice and can't
find any flaws, no stress cracks, no chips. It is not full of
reproduction trim. All of the chrome and stainless were sent to the
east coast to be restored. Every single piece is pristine. The
stainless around the windshield, top of doors and fenders is
polished like chrome. The jambs are painted. New weatherstrips and
window seals. New windshield and side glass. The hubcaps and
spinners are pristine, the rims are painted gloss black. There are
new reproduction Firestone tires. The convertible top is white, in
good shape. I was told it still the original. The hardtop was
repainted, the rubber, glass and stainless trim is nice original.
White headliner is bright.
INTERIOR: It's restored inside to factory condition. This car
always had a red interior. New correct carpet. The seats have been
rebuilt, new cushions and new correct upholstery. Dash pad is
replaced. The entire instrument area is restored- gauges, knobs,
wonderbar radio all look like new. Door panels, visors, mirror have
been replaced. The shifter plate is new, has correct lock out
shifter.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: #s matching motor, the actual vin matches this
car. It was recently, completely rebuilt. The motor compartment is
meticulously restored to original condition. It has original
manifolds, valve covers, even the right details on the valve
covers. It has the ignition shielding, even the lower pieces by the
spark plugs. The original pie pan air cleaner sits on top of the
correct carburetor with correct fuel filter and lines. It has
correct GM hoses and clamps. New wiring loom. It is very fresh
looking, the paint isn't even burnt off the manifolds.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The fiberglass is clean with a coat of gloss
black. The red divider board is new. The rubber mat is original and
brittle. Under the mat the spare and tire board are there. New
weatherstrip.
UNDERSIDE: Wow, it is beautiful underneath this car. The pristine
floors were painted a crisp, glossy white and it really looks sharp
against the detailed black chassis. The body was removed from the
frame and everything was restored to like new. The bottom of the
motor is still spotless. The 4-speed is vin # matched to the car
and looks like new. The suspension, steering and brakes are
rebuilt. Shocks, lines, bushings, axle straps, nuts and bolts are
all new. The exhaust is new and upgraded to 2 1/2 inch. I think it
is beautiful underneath this car.
