Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is excited to offer this little
yellow van. This 1973 Volkswagen van has the Westfalia camper
option and is ready to be take on an adventure. The style for this
year, often called a "bay window" style, is probably the most
recognizable of this iconic line of van and campers. It has the
icebox and sink behind the passenger seat, as compared to later
models where these were moved to the side (and took up more room).
The '73 configuration also has a rear facing seat behind the driver
with underneath storage and extensive storage under the seat and in
the passenger side compartments, running about the length of the
vehicle. Sleeps two in the fold down bed. This VW has new paint,
and a rebuilt engine and manual transmission, and working icebox
and sink. This restoration is less than 5 years old. This van also
comes with the rare front and rear brush guards. The 1.6-liter
engine has dual Kadron Solex Carburetors, modern electric ignition,
headers, and even duel exhaust. It runs quiet, has plenty of power,
and even travels smooth at highway speeds. Other added safety and
convenience features include all terrain tires, new rubber seals
for the doors, tachometer, AM/FM/CD radio with Bluetooth inputs and
remote control, rear speakers, replaced poptop(3 window), front
seagrass mat, passenger footrest, under the dash storage tray, wire
shelving, and seatbelts throughout. This camper has been upgraded
to disc brakes all the way around for a more powerful stopping
ability. This VW is perfect for any collector, to use as a daily
driver, or even to take on a camping trip. To see 100+ HD pictures
