Vehicle Description
A big 409 V8, four-on-the-floor, and a ton of the right recent
investments make this restored 1962 Chevrolet Impala SS 409 tribute
a serious dream car that you can make a reality.
The big motor already has you hooked, and we'll get to that in a
moment. But it's also worth taking a look at all the details that
make this such a unique classic. This is a cool two-tone with Surf
Green on the body and a slightly deeper and more metallic green on
the hardtop roof. This newer application has a plenty of luster to
make this coupe look both sophisticated and subtle all at the same
time. They even utilized the roof's green for custom pinstriping on
the hood and trunk for detail lovers. More than just the paint, you
want this because the '62 Impala is iconic. It has the hallmark six
taillight arrangement, wraparound chrome bumpers, and wide grille
allow this one to own the road. But the brightwork we think you'll
enjoy the most is the full-length spear that runs the full profile.
It has a terrific machine-turned insert that makes this feel like a
true Super Sport - and so they also repeated it on the rear panel.
Plus, they added in American Racing Torq Thrust wheels for a great
finishing touch to the vintage and sporting total package.
Inside the festival of green continues. Family and friends will
enjoy the full-sized comfort, but the bucket seat upgrade is a nice
reminder that this is a driver's machine. In fact, the rare power
windows mean you don't even have to leave the driver's seat to
showcase the full hardtop profile. The thin rimmed steering wheel
and the machined aluminum dash that matches the exterior trim are
elements that define 1960s class. Just like the exterior, this
keeps very vintage with only period-correct upgrades, and so you
get a full set of Moon Eyes auxiliary gauges and a Moon Eyes
column-mounted tach. That last one is especially handy with the
floor shifter.
There have been more great investments under the hood. The iconic
409 cubic-inch big block looks terrific with the bold block,
shining valve covers, and matching air topper. And once again, this
is for detail lovers like the classic-style Delco battery topper
and even the correct washer fluid refill bottle mounted to the
fender. More than just look great, this is a strong V8 with an
Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor on top for added power. You're in
complete control the big power and rumbling dual exhaust thanks to
the proper T-10 four-speed manual transmission. Plus, there's power
steering, power brakes, and wide BF Goodrich T/As to keep cruising
easy.
A big block 409 with four-on-the-floor is always appealing, but
this one has been built to be a cut-above. So don't let it slip
away, call today!
