1955 Chevrolet Belair ConvertibleLet's start with the obvious- this
is a real vin number and tag, real 265 V8, real 1955 Chevrolet
frame and drivetrain Belair Convertible with a full fiberglass
body. That's right, we just got this one from a local collector and
its obvious the car was a labor of love. We rescued it from long
term storage as health issues sidelined this great old car for a
long slumber.This is a very slick looking car in beautiful blue
with a very nice paint job, a very nice interior and a very nice
top. We went through the car and installed a new gas tank, went
through the brakes, changed all the fluids, including the
three-speed automatic transmission, and made sure the car runs and
drives nicely. We will leave the final fettling to the next owner
in order to keep this car VERY AFFORDABLE for the next owner who
can decide how far to go with it. When we say final fettling some
of the items include a sluggish power top (will operate with some
armstong help), an inaccurate speedometer, some chrome that needs
attention (bumpers specifically) and just some general attention to
make it a wonderful driver. (We can of course take care of any
items the new owner may desire at our internal cost).If you have
looked at enough 55 convertibles we are sure you realize that most
(needing some things) start at about 45K and go up from there. We
are pleased to offer this one at about half price- looks great
going down the road and if you don't tell its glass we won't
