Vehicle Description
This 1932 Ford Victoria streetrod is unusually well-built and
reflects an outstanding attention to detail inside and out, as well
as under its hood. Thorough planning, top tier components, and
skilled craftsmanship have resulted in a top-quality ride, while
plenty of care and shelter bring it to the present looking great
and running strong.
The formula of light curb weight plus abundant power has been a
winner throughout the ages, and the arrow straight fiberglass body
on this '32 combines with what's lurking under the hood to position
it for very inspired performance. The quality of the blue metallic
paint it's covered with is evident with just a quick glance - it's
a PPG product and sits under a very strong clearcoat for a magnetic
shine, accented by hand painted tri-color pinstriping. Get up as
close as you'd like to it and you'll still be hard-pressed to find
any noticeable blemishes - this streetrod has been well looked
after during its lifetime and has the ultra-clean look to prove it.
There are some great details on display throughout the exterior - a
stainless steel grille and generously proportioned Ford headlights
sit up front, and the vented 3-piece hood blends in perfectly as it
transitions into the cabin just behind it that features a 3" chop
for just the right custom appearance.
The tan leather interior was designed and installed from scratch
and will stand out in even the most well-heeled of automotive
company. From the contoured and ultra-comfortable front bench seat
with its separate backrests for driver and passenger, to the door
panels, overhead console and beyond, the quality of the details
inside the cabin are truly something to behold and everything seems
to tie in perfectly. While many streetrods put the emphasis on
sheer acceleration, this one has been carefully configured with
overall driving experience as a priority. A Vintage Air system
keeps things comfortable and the chrome Ididit steering column puts
the show stopping custom steering wheel in just the right position
while cruise control, power door locks and windows and remote door
openers are welcome features you don't often see on cars of this
type. The full collection of Ford Motorsports gauges looks great
against the blue backdrop of the dash and they, as well as the
control knobs and switches just below, are all in good working
order.
There's no letup to the exceptional quality as far as the
mechanical aspects of this Victoria are concerned. Everything has
been put into place to create an outstanding driving experience. A
350 cubic inch V8 sits in the engine compartment, surrounded by
inner fenders and a firewall in showroom condition and painted to
match the exterior. The powerplant is carrying a pair of
aftermarket aluminum heads and an Edelbrock 4-barrel carb and
polished intake manifold. It's good for a full 355 horsepower while
sending a great sounding exhaust note through its Sanderson headers
leading to its dual exhausts. The engine pairs with a 4-speed
automatic 700r4 transmission whose overdrive gear keeps revs down
on the highway. A dazzling array of chrome components, as well as
Billet Specialties brackets and a K&N billet air cleaner, peg
the meter on eye candy, while a Walker radiator sits up front with
its thermostatically controlled fan to keep operating temperatures
under control. The Heidts Superride front end not only provides a
nice ride and strong handling via its coilover suspension, but also
front disc brakes for fade resistant stops as this exceptional
streetrod wows all within viewing distance on its Halibrand wheels
with 3-spoke spinners that carry Michelin radials.
