Vehicle Description
STK 2504 1923 Ford Track T Roadster Tribute
This Ford Track 'T" was built 10 years ago as a tribute to the cars
that raced in the late '40s. The builder has a collection of early
cars that he raced for many years. This is a 'Show Car' and is not
intended to be raced. The fabricated steel frame supports a torsion
bar suspension front and rear. Race designed center steering
utilizes extended pitman arms and Franklin front hubs. Power is
furnished by a Ford Flathead with three Stromberg carbs. Recent new
components include: alternator, dual water pumps and radiator.
Behind the flathead sits a 1936 Ford three speed manual gearbox and
a truck differential houses quick-change gearing. Brakes are
4-wheel hydraulic with huge Franklin finned drums, open backing
plates and a Tilton Engineering master cylinder. The electrical
system is 12 volt and fuel is stored in a custom-built aluminum
tank. Five-wide steel wheels mount 'racing' tires. The body 'tub'
is an all-steel 1923 Ford roadster body and the front nose is
fabricated from fiberglass. It has been professionally
hand-lettered with period correct numbers and pin-stripping. Inside
this interior is classic racer plus a nicely upholstered seat in
rolled-and-pleated red vinyl. The classic 'turned' dash contains
oil pressure and water temp gauges. A time-honored racing wheel,
chopped windshield, full transmission case and torque tube with
enclosed driveshaft complete the sparse interior package. This
old-school 'Track T' Tribute will be a fun addition to someone's
garage. It is sold on a 'Bill of Sale'. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS
IS".
