Vehicle Description
Porsche developed the 914 as a replacement for its beloved 912, the
four cylinder version of the 911. The 914 was intended to be a mass
produced vehicle that would be built in conjunction with
Volkswagen. When unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 1969, it
was somewhat unexpected as it did not resemble a Porsche or a
Volkswagen. The car, however, with its mid-engine configuration,
demonstrated balance and handling capabilities that few have
achieved and packaged it into an affordable sports car that would
appeal to the masses.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this custom Porsche 914 for
your consideration. One of the biggest complaints is that the car
is often considered underpowered, so this car was professionally
swapped with a Chevrolet 350cid V8, Edelbrock 4bbl, and a 5-speed
manual transmission. The swap was done incredible well and it looks
completely stock on the exterior. A new cooling system was also
installed and the car runs like a champ. The V8 blesses this little
914 with an incredible amount of power and it is almost scary
fast!
The exterior is in decent shape, it is very clean with no rot or
dents but the Irish Green paint is only average. The exterior
features black bumpers, black removable targa top, black alloy 944
wheels, and pop up headlights. It also has upgraded 911 brakes and
uprated suspension components. The interior is remarkably clean and
the seats, carpet, and dashboard show very well. It has a newer JVC
head unit and all the gauges work properly.
