Vehicle Description
Dressed in similar fashion to many of its track-bred FR500 brethren
of the recent past while harboring every bit as much brute force,
this 2017 Ford Mustang GT is undeniably a world-class street
machine. It's logged only 878 miles, so it's just now broken in and
ready to perform at its best. A professionally modified powerplant
lurks under its hood, boasting an output few street legal cars can
match and, from front to back, all the right components are in
place to offer an outstanding driving experience to combine with
the host of modern-day convenience options that are also on
board.
The Oxford white paint draped over its exterior has a great shine
under its European clearcoat and, as you'd likely expect from a car
that's logged fewer than 1000 miles, is looking sharp. It's
accented by painted Grabber blue striping running down its center
that provides a sort of visual tie-in to the FR500 racers Ford
created a few years back - especially appropriate considering this
GT's outstanding power. With the usual GT rear spoiler nowhere to
be found, this very special '17 won't give anyone the impression
it's a mild-mannered errand runner, but its deletion does result in
a very muscular, distinctive look when viewed from the side.
While this GT may sport a color scheme and power reminiscent of
Ford's FR500s, its ebony cloth interior offers a sharp appearance
and all the features you'd want for everyday driving. Having seen
so little use, it's in very clean condition and looks pretty much
as it did when this Mustang emerged from the showroom. The
contrasting white stitching against black surfaces gives the
seating a great look and both the front buckets and rear bench seat
are still at their best. Unlike its track-bound counterparts, there
is plenty of comfort and convenience on hand here, including power
locks and windows, cruise control, air conditioning, a backup
camera, driver and passenger side airbags and an anti-theft device
to help ensure this outstanding ride never leaves your possession.
The AM/FM/CD stereo offers both iPod and Bluetooth connectivity, so
there will be no shortage of audio options at your disposal.
Modern day Mustang GTs offer a generous amount of horsepower in
their original configuration, but the enhanced 5.0L Coyote V8
holding court under the hood here occupies an entirely different
world. Armed with a Ford Performance Roush supercharger, it's good
for an otherworldly 670 horsepower (at the wheels!) - an output
matched by very few street legal cars. This was no shade-tree
modification either - the supercharger was professionally installed
by a Ford dealer and is still under warranty. Of course, all that
exhilarating power would be of far less use if preparations weren't
made to handle it properly, but that detail has been looked after
here. A McLeod Racing Steel Flywheel and RAM Powergrip Heavy Duty
clutch sit behind the engine, while a pair of Steeda IRS subframe
connectors are in back to securely tie the rear end to the rest of
the suspension while reinforcing an already sturdy undercarriage.
The rear end not only features a 3.73 ratio that's ideal to take
advantage of the 6-speed manual transmission's capabilities, but
also fortified Torsen half axles rated for even more power than
what's on hand here. A safety loop surrounds the 4" aluminum
driveshaft as an added precaution. Four-wheel disc brakes that
feature massive 15" Brembo rotors bring quick, low effort stops as
this ultra-powerful Pony smokes the asphalt on its set of Shelby
GT350 wheels outfitted with Pirelli tires.

used and superbly fortified version of Ford's modern-day muscle
