The Mercedes-Benz SL series started out as the top of the line
sports luxury tourer that offered both performance and comfort. The
third generation SL was called the R107 chassis and is one of the
most recognizable Mercedes of all time. Produced from 1971 all the
way to 1989, the R107 lived a long and cherished life. The United
States was an extremely popular market for the personal luxury
coupe and almost ? of all SL's were sold here. While not as quick
or pretty as their European cousins, the US market SL's still
represented the cream of the personal luxury car crop. The 380SL
was a mid range model that offered an excellent blend of both
efficiency and V8 performance.

consideration. Finished in Silver Blue metallic paint, this car is
in average condition. The body has quite a few small imperfections
and the paint is average. The bumpers, trim, lights, glass, and
chrome is all in nice shape and the car has a factory hard top. The
convertible top works, but has a few rips. The interior features
blue leather seats that have some imperfections and the car
features rare burl wood trim with a matching shift knob. The car is
equipped with the original Becker stereo as well as climate
control, power windows, power mirror, and more. The car has been
well cared for and features an engine rebuilt in 2008 as well as a
front end rebuild. It also has a rebuilt brake system.
The car is fitted with the smooth 3.8L V8 that is a solid runner
and is mated to a unobtrusive automatic transmission. The car
glides down the road like you'd expect a classic Mercedes would and
the choice of tops, large trunk, and comfortable seats mean that
this is one flexible cruiser. The current owners have enjoyed this
car for the last 13 years and have loved every minute of it! We are
