1958 Apache Pickup
We pleased to present this handsome and rarely seen custom 1958 Chevrolet Apache pickup truck. This is the true classic Bowtie enthusiast’s truck! Freshly reinished in a brilliant Dawn Blue (code 707A) metallic paint job shows extremely well with only minor imperfections visible upon close inspection. The front bumper fit nicely and compliment the body. The shaved doors and rear gate add to the overall theme of this trucks ‘s street rod design
First year for the fleetside bed was 1958, significant redesign of front end. All light-duty trucks are now called “Apaches”, medium-duty trucks called “Vikings”, and heavy-duty trucks called “Spartans”. Truck has four headlights instead of the previous two and features a shorter, wider grille running the width of the front end. Parking lights are now in the grille instead of being in the front of the fender and the hood is similar to 1955/1956 models, but with a flat “valley” in the middle. First year for factory-equipped air conditioning.
Inside, the deep tan leather front seat look rich and subtle with no major signs of wear visible. Highly polished billeted dash, “tilt” steering column, and gauges add a brilliant contrasting element to the interior. The door panels and dashboard are painted to match the exterior of the truck and look fantastic. Paint and body are exceptional with no visible evidence of repair or damage that we could find.
This nicely restored Apache features a 454 cid inline 8 cylinder BBC with a Edelbrock intake and carburetor, Turbo 350 automatic transmission-speed to a GM 10 bolt rear differential, custom mahogany with high gloss urethane and polished retaining strips wood bed, Camaro front suspension with disc and power steering and 17 Inch Coy’s wheels. For the hot days, this extremely good looking Chevrolet is equipped with Vintage Air ac and a custom concealed stereo in the glove box that will delight even the most discerning early American truck collector or enthusiast. The stance of this truck is unbelievable aggressive without compromising the ride.
