Vehicle Description
1966 Ford Cobra Roadster
For the power and style enthusiast, everyone knows that having both
in an original is way out of most people's reach. In particular
those all originals can be finicky and require lots of garaging and
trailering, and little driving, unless you are pulling your
personal wrencher in a motor home with that classic!
On consignment is a first-generation Everett Morrison Cobra. An
over the top, quality build, from frame to roll-bar top, this
clean, well-built reproduction will allow the buyer to have a head
turning classic, or a one car parade with the turn of a key. Let's
just say everyone will know you've arrived even before you get
there with this rumbler.
Exterior
PPG Brite White Pearl has been laid on thick over the fiberglass
shell. It is made even racier with the addition of 2 Prizmatique
Blue stripes which run from stem to stern. A nice chromed stainless
roll-bar is behind the driver's side. All lights are in working
condition, as well as door actuators and hood. Undercarriage is
unbelievably clean and is made of 4" round tube ladder frame coated
with epoxy. Real 3-piece Comp-O-Motive bolt on wheels are wrapped
with Goodyear tires.
Interior
Black vinyl buckets with Simpson 3-point harnesses sit in a field
of pristine black carpet. Fronting the seats is a custom machined
aluminum dash board. Seated neatly within this field, are essential
gauges and toggles. On top is an extension of the body which
travels right through the underside of the windscreen. A floor
shifter, handbrake, and fire extinguisher nest in the center
hump.
Drivetrain
The 1969 460ci mill has upgrades. Some include a steel crankshaft
with a .30 overbore making it 466ci, Extreme 4x4 cam and lifters,
Tru Roller timing chain, Weiand Stealth high-rise aluminum intake,
a Holley 780cfm carburetor vacuum secondary custom tuned to the car
and engine, and a Holley electric fuel pump, Accell electronic
distributor and Super coil. Bolted to the back is a 1967 Ford "Big
Spline" short tail-shaft Top Loader 4-speed transmission, featuring
a Lakewood scatter shield, and performance clutch, and a McLeod
hydro throughout bearing. Engine is exhaling from stainless steel
headers, and Jet Hot Coated side-pipes. Mustang II front suspension
with coil over shocks, and an '82 Corvette .354 posi independent
rear with fiberglass leaf spring.
This nicely done Everett Morrison kit Cobra is loaded with
competition parts, and big horsepower. Pearlescent paint, machined
dash, and pristine engine bay, will gain you lookers, as you blow
down the road.
