Vehicle Description
We have just added a 1970 Chevelle SS 396 to our inventory that is
probably one of the nicest Chevelles we have seen in a long time.
This is a true SS...we have the build sheet to prove it (in fact we
have 2 build sheets). Not only do we have 2 build sheets but this
car has its original engine transmission and rear end. It is
powered by its original numbers matching 396 cubic inch 350 horse
power engine and the original numbers matching (M40) 3 speed
automatic transmission. Transferring that power to the rear wheels
is the numbers matching posi-traction rear end with 3.31 gears. The
car came equipped with power steering power brakes (disc in front
with rear drum) bucket seats with console and floor shift. The car
features the original AM radio with 8 track tape player (which
still works) and a Kenny Rogers tape that goes with the car tinted
glass all the way around factory rear defogger and seat belts. The
interior is like new except for one small tear on the driver's
seat...see picture. Under carriage is rust free with the floor pans
appearing to be original which is not surprising for a car that is
still wearing its original sheet metal...see the stamped numbers in
the trunk area. This car runs and drives without issue. It is a
blast to drive and ready for someone new to enjoy it or show. Make
