Vehicle Description
1967 Oldsmobile 442
With the arrival of the 60s the looks of vehicles changed pretty
drastically and the muscle car era arrived. Every manufacturer
wanted to get in the game and Oldsmobile did so with the classic
442. This number referred to the original cars 4 barrel carb, 4
speed transmission and dual exhaust although it was used in some
years where a 3 speed and automatic were options. This car has been
well maintained as a survivor with only 58,867 factory miles. It
has always been garage kept and has been in storage for the past
10-12 years. It has had 3 previous owners and 1 repaint in the
original color. The body is very straight and solid. The floors are
solid and are a good indicator of how well it has been cared for.
The pale yellow paint has a nice finish and looks great paired with
the Black vinyl top. All of the original trim and chrome have a
nice shine with no pitting or issues. It has a great stance and
rides on the original style wheels with BFGoodrich Radial T/A
tires.
It is now powered by a Oldsmobile 330 V8 motor that runs great. The
engine compartment has a nice clean stock appearance. The car has
had multiple stock recent improvements which include new air
shocks, a new rear sway bar, rebuilt carburetor, rebuilt
distributor, new cap/rotor, new spark plugs and wires, a new
starter, new battery, new aluminum radiator, new exhaust, new disc
brakes, new tires, a new air cleaner, new rear control arms, new
front sway bar links and an entirely rebuilt turbo transmission
with shift kit. That is a lot of new stuff! Basically the car was
gone through mechanically to make sure everything is road ready.
You can hop in it and drive it anywhere! The power steering and
power brakes make it a very comfortable driver and the AC system
has also had an aftermarket upgrade to 134A so it is a simple
process to get charged.
The interior of the car is done in Black and the upholstery is all
in great shape. It has dual bucket seats up front with the factory
center console to house the shifter and additional storage
compartment. The dash has the original layout and everything works
except for the TicToc Tach. A smaller set of aftermarket Sunpro
gauges were added under the dash for temp, oil, and voltage. The
radio has been replaced. The trunk of the car has been nicely
finished out with a custom trunk mat and houses a spare
wheel/tire.
This is a great running car and is being offered up at a great
price. It has been authenticated by Ed Cox who is a well known 442
expert in the area.
This classic 442 is being offered up for only $17,750.00!
